Overview;
Established in 1947, the Australian Lebanese Association of NSW Ltd (ALA) is a non-political, non religious and non-sectarian organization.
The Australian Lebanese Association of NSW was established with these objectives in mind:
a) To support and uphold the Constitution and Laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and every State thereof.
b) To encourage and assist all people in Australia of Lebanese ancestry to become integrated in Australian society and to foster and encourage social relationships and good fellowship between them and Australian Citizens.
c) To foster and encourage amongst all people in Australia of Lebanese ancestry intellectual and social pursuits and to assist them in adjusting themselves to the conditions of society in Australia.
d) To inspire and train by precept and example all people in Australia of Lebanese ancestry in the qualities and clements of leadership and according to the highest social ideals and aims and to enable them to mutually support each other in their participation in civic, educational, social, charitable, cultural, professional and sportive opportunities and pursuits.
e) To do all such things as shall be necessary to enable this Association and all its members to be and become part of The Lebanese World Union and in doing so to accomplish the objectives of the Union and of this Association in:-
