Government Affiliations

The ALA of NSW is recognised by the Department of Community Services (DOCS) and are handed an annual grant to continue the work it does.

The ALA of NSW is also an official partner with the Immigration office and Department of Fair Trading, which allows us to employ a social worker to aid many people with their various applications relating to both immigration and fair trading, as well as providing information and liaising with these government departments in difficult scenarios.

The ALA of NSW is also the only officially recognised representation of the Australian Lebanese community, and is therefore constantly consulted by many government departments regarding major policy changes and community feedback.
